Guests of Homeland!!

Hey friends, here's something I would like to share. I was speaking to one of my Mizo friends. She seemed very upset and annoyed with few things that she had encountered last evening. She wants to get back home and leave the city. When I investigated, I found out a shameful truth! How would you like if you are treated as a guest in your own country?
People from Mizoram and other hilly areas of India often go to other cities like Kolkata and Delhi for higher education. But most of these people are let down by our behavior and attitude towards them. Their Mongolian faces often make us refer them as Chinese, thereby uttering a much popular word  (in Kolkata) - "chinki". I don't know what does this mean. But whatever it may be, this is absolute crap!
People from other states expect cooperation from us. But what do we give them in return - hiked room rents? or misbehaviors? Well guys, I have three colleges nearby, and I have seen a lot of students getting annoyed to be referred to as foreigners, thereby misguided!! They buy vegetables at 20 rupees kilo while we buy the same at 14 rupees kilo! We rent a room for 3000 bucks while they are made to do it at a double amount. Put yourself in their shoes and imagine yourselves to be lost in a new city! Now if you are turned down by the people who were supposed to be your only hope, how would you feel?

We need to stop building this wall based on linguistic and regional difference! Come together and act like true citizens!! Remember the pledges we read back at schools. Its time to act seriously!
