Abusive Relationships!

It feels great when you start dating someone. With the passage of time, the growth of intimacy results in turning of a dating relationship into a serious relationship or affair. But it is essential to find out if your relationship is floating in the proper direction or not.

Always keep this in mind - you have every right to say no. No boyfriend or girlfriend has the right to tell or what you can or should do, what you can or should wear, or what kind of friends you should have.
Try to figure out the early signs if your current relationship is going to turn out as a violent one or not. If your boyfriend seems to be too pushy for meeting frequently in spite of problems that you may be facing then you must learn to say a NO sometimes. Does your girlfriend try to dominate you  or influence your decisions in her favor? If so, this is high time to make a choice - either to turn her down for this time or to turn your self-esteem down forever. If your boyfriend or girlfriend verbally or emotionally abuses you by doing such things as yelling at you, swearing at you, manipulating you, spreading false and degrading rumors about you, and trying to make you feel guilty, give yourself another chance and wait for the right partner to come to your life. We do believe that God has created someone for each one of us. So don't rush into a relationship. Give yourself some time. Your boyfriend or girlfriend may drink too much or use drugs and then later blame the alcohol and drugs for his/her behavior. Your boyfriend or girlfriend may also threaten physical violence.
In such cases, no one becomes happy. Let go! When a relationship becomes only a responsibility, it is technically finished!! Give it a thought...
